The Flash Turns a Fan-Favorite Character Into Its Own Catwoman
Move over, Selina Kyle. just introduced Sue Dearbon, and she's taking a few pages out of Catwoman's book.
In "A Girl Named Sue," the latest episode, Ralph Dibny finally found the girl he's been looking for. However, by the end of the episode, he realized he'd been set up. Sue fed him a story with a few truths and a lot of lies, but he had no way of distinguishing the difference between them. Worse, she used him to steal a diamond belonging to Jean Loring, a local crime lord who she claimed was her ex-boyfriend.
After using his detective skills to track down Loring's prize diamond, Sue locked Ralph into the vault they had just broken into, much to his surprise. "I guess you're not the only one who's full of surprises," she said.
"We are this close to taking down Loring!" Ralph insisted, only for Sue to reply, "Who cares about Loring? I don't even know the guy! I do, however, know where he keeps his valuables."
"There never was a ledger. That's why you rented an apartment in Central City -- you knew I was keeping tabs on you, so you lured me in," he realized. "You rigged your own apartment to explode, for what? Just to sell the story of sympathetic socialite running for her life?"
"You bought it, but don't feel bad," she said. "You're a good guy, and a hero. You probably see the best in everyone. Me? I see what I want, and I take it."
Airing Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/CT on The CW, The Flash stars Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Carlos Valdes, Danielle Panabaker, Tom Cavanagh, Jesse L. Martin, Danielle Nicolet and Hartley Sawyer.
