Nintendo announces the Switch Lite is getting a coral pink console
Nintendo has unveiled a snazzy new Switch Lite colour joining its console family.
The new 'coral' pink colour was revealed by the video games company on social media and is set to be released on April 3 in the US and a little earlier on March 20 in Japan.
However, it looks like those are the only territories that are selling the new colour as things stand, so fingers crossed a European version gets an announcement soon too.Related: Best new games of 2020: Your complete release schedule for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and beyond
The Switch Lite was first announced last summer, and is dedicated more to handheld gaming than its older sibling - thus making it a cheaper option.
So far it has come in colours such as turquoise, grey and yellow, and the new coral look is a welcome addition.Related: Super Smash Bros Ultimate's newest Fighters Pass is under £20
The exciting news comes after Nintendo recently announced a limited-edition bundle for Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
The deal includes a special Animal Crossing-themed Switch, which has a special design on the main console that includes images of characters Tom Nook and Nooklings Timmy and Tommy, as well as pastel green and blue Joy-Con controllers.
The bundle will be released on March 20 and is going for £319.99 on the Nintendo Store.Related: Pokémon Home announces pricing and release info - and fans have strong reactions
On top of that, it comes with New Horizons-themed Carrying Case, also available from March 20.
